Good or bad?

Here i go again, asking questions...but right now it's only my emotions speaking.
On our local tv movie channel i just saw for the zillion time "Schindler's list", and i will be watching it again tomorrow. Yes, i'm a sick, sick person.
I've never noticed before that in the film Ralph talks in english with pure german accent! Also i realized, that he's only 31 years old there, the same age i am right now. It's a huge responsibility to such an young actor to play someone, who took place in history, someone so complicated.
Sorry, for that "foreplay".
What i wanted to ask you is:
those of us, who like Ralph playing bad guys. Why do you like him bad? Do you think that those roles come out more successful, more remembered?
Personally, more or less, i like all of his roles, and remember each and one of them, but i like him more, when he's bad.

well, maybe it's my feelings and emotions speaking, but i can't imagine HOW say "no" to that man...i mean, only his voice, which i consider as the most sudactive sound ever, can make you crazy...
i can go on and on. and his bad behaviour? bring it on, baby!!!
the one thing, that makes me sad, is that he doesn't pay proper attention to his fans :(

I read in one of his interviews that he was indifferent to his fans. For me,
that is quite OK. :) He just wouldn't have the time nor energy to engage
with any of us. We love him because he is doing what He loves to do, and, so well! If it give us pleasure to pour over his photographs, read his interviews, watch his movies over and over again, read Everything about him that is available, then, I think he has given enough. If we want him to remain healthy, focussed, and available to us in the future we must be satisfied.....this is not a lecture from an old lady, but I value him sooo much, I just want him to keep going on his path..... Minerva, if he paid more attention to his fans, we would want more, and more and more until he disappeared from view...... I thank him for being there, I'm grateful that I have lived long enough to see him work, and he gives me so much enjoyment, I wouldn't change a thing......get a grip old girl..... big hugs :)

i agree with what you said, with every word, and i understand, that it's better that way than no way at all.
i just hate to see it going nowhere, you know? all the effort...sometimes i get frustrated...but it's me...i wish i could meet him one day, but then i think it's probably not such a good idea. things better stay the way they are.
the problem is, that from time to time i compare him to one russian actor i was madly in love with some time ago. he had a forum, still has, and once in a few months he comes to the studio and answers all kinds of questions in a thread we did a couple of days earlier. he knows our nicknames, and some of those who live in russia he even met in person. at the end he always takes a picture of himself, so we can see how he looks in those days. he signed a picture for me and an album (girls, who know him close asked him to do that for me). more than that, i was in moscow 2 years ago and i went to see the play. at the end i gave him flowers and he looked straight into my eyes and said "thank you"...although i don't care about this man anymore, i'll never forget this moment and the way he treats his fans. he doesn't do it for us to vote for him or keep his ratings up, he has all that...it's all about attitude...
i also care for Ralph tremendously and want only the best things for him to happen...
you can't tell your heart who to love...

Maybe we prefer Ralph in bad characters because of the contrast between his enchanting face and his evilness .

Um, comparing him to your Russian actor is a very bad idea. What that Russian actor did was going above and beyond the norm of what most actors do. No, Ralph does not go online to answer questions and all that, but he does give autographs and allow his picture to be taken at the stage door. On occasion, he'll even take a picture with a fan. Just go on Youtube and do a search and you'll see video clips of him smiling and talking to his fans while walking along the line. There are also many autograph pics and stagedoor pics floating around online. I personally met him and found him to be very sweet. He went so far as to take my hand, look me in the eye, and gift me with a beautiful smile. How can you believe he's "ignoring his fans" when there's so much evidence to the contrary? I think you expect entirely too much.

Minerva, he is not our property. Those who have met him say just what A1C is saying, that he is generous, Real, talks and smiles. I want him to be fresh, himself,
and love him just the way that he is. I know you are crazy about him Minerva, well,
if you are, and I say this with love, let him be as he is, wanting more will spoil
what we have. Have a look at why you want more....I think this is stuff Minerva has
to deal with....expectation often disappoints.....we are so lucky to have what we have of him. If Ralph had been active during a period, say 50 years ago, we wouldn't have 1/10th of what we have now. Hugs :)

i'm calm now and do not expect anything from anyone.
