Ralph Fiennes Network

All Things Ralph

I've been cinema challenged this year...so most of my films I've been watching are oldies...but it's always fun to see what people have been seeing...
1. Quantum of Solace...awesome...has the feel of a Bourne movie with the cache of Bond
2. Serenity- if you have a love of sci-fi...watch the tv series dvds then this film...THE BEST
3. The Duchess- not a big Kiera fan, but I thought she did the baby scene well...dont want to spoil
4. Phantasm- watched with my boyfriend from the UK who hasn't seen this ever...love the 70's cheese..the Tallman is still effing scary
5. Ghostbusters- nothing like watching this movie again with a kid who's never seen it.
6. Beastmaster- another oldie but goodie that holds up with time...are those things minks or ferrets he carries with him?
7. Dinosaurs of Patagonia- IMAX in D.C. at Natural History museum...I never realized that there were so many dinosaurs in Patagonia
8. The English Patient- introduced my boyfriend to this one...and he liked it...he's a keeper
9. The Day the Earth Stood Still (the new one)- I thought Keanu was great in this...good movie.
10. Life Force - Space vampires...awesome

As you can see, I don't get out much. I'm rather reliant on my Roku download thingie for netflix...recommend it highly...great way to catch up on stuff you've missed.

I would love to visit Bruges! It looks like such a beautiful city. To quote a certain gentleman, "All those canals and medieval buildings and swans....it's like a f****ing fairy tale!" : )

I have to admit I've seen that kind of artwork before and I'm not really drawn to it. It's a little freaky!

Liza - I've loved you so long is a great film with a very surprising ending when you finally get to know who she "murdered" and why. Kristin Scott Thomas' performance is breathtaking...what a great actress.

I can't wait to see it! : )

I think Kristin Scott Thomas is great and I like the actress who plays her sister, Elsa Zylberstein.

2. My Best Friend's Wedding
3. Prince of Egypt (Loved Ralph's voice, he can sing!)

10. Wuthering Heights

Oh, by the way, my mom likes the version of WH with Mr. Timothy Dalton (she fancies him) then she found me watching Ralph's version few days ago, and of course she asked me about that movie (She has seen a couple of Ralph's movies before, but I don't think she remembers him quite well)

Mom: What movie is that?
Me: Wuthering Heights, mum.
Mom: Well, I can see is NOT Timothy's version...
Me: Ok... But this one is fienne too. Besides, you should know this version's main character is the guy I have a major crush on..
Mom: Huh?

Says nothing else, but sits and watches the movie with me. Then it gets to that part when Heathcliff comes back all rich and shiny. 2 minutes later:

Mom: Goodness, is that the one you were just talking?
Me: Yup ::drooling:: Isn't he beautiful?
Mom: (Without taking eyes off screen) For sure. Now I can see why you like him!

Anyway, sorry because I went all off-topic, but it's always great to enlighten others with Ralph's light XD
