I also enjoy watching on my own. I even go to the movies on my own on purpose. That dancing scene is famous
The sexual tension between them is palpable.
When he tells her the story of the winds.....
When he stops her in the hall, and wants to dance with her, he wants to touch her, he is totally stripped of all protection
and he is like a child, so hurt...so drunk.... There are many others but that will do for now. Thank you for starting this discussion Darlene. :)

I think all the good scenes are already spoken for! : )
I'll pick moments...there are so many, like small stars. His child-like excitement when he discovers the Cave of Swimmers, that look and shrug of exasperation when when Katherine decides to stay behind with the group in the desert after the vehicle accident, his description of winds, the story he makes up about the Hungarian song, his drunken song and dance at the dinner, ok...all of the cave moments after the plane crash, the quiet moment of understanding between the patient and Hannah when he wants to give him the extra dose of morphine...
hmmm...I think I just described the whole movie. : )
I think this movie is becoming the stuff of legend I hope the TV networks keep on showing it,
again and again so that new generations of mezmerised women join our number, and learn that we have a living legend in our midst!!!

There are several scenes that stand out to me. One is when K is departing up the stairs in the market and Almasy (sp?) ok, Ralph doesn't want to let go of her hand. Their hands are forced apart and they want to keep touching. I found myself wanting them to continue to hold hands and spend the day together.
Another is when he is becoming desperate at asking for assistance from the two soldiers. He finally ends up shouting "My wife is injured..." (or something to that effect...I haven't watched this one lately. I need to brush up!)
Those scenes have always stood out in my mind but, the whole movie is wonderful. No true favorite scene really. Good question, Darlene.....:)
