Longing...

Longing
I attempted to fill my days
With friends and food
And light and work
But I lingered in my mind.

I fought to forget
Willed myself positive
Fresh, anew, focused
And yet languid time
Dragged and pulled me down.

While you flashed
With happiness and glee
I stayed quiet
Alone, but not so lonely.

The end of this
Imposed solitude
Is coming,
And I yearn for
The wave of warmth
Your smile will bring.

If the mere thought
of you brings me joy
God bless me
With your return.
And I will be
Once agai… Continue

Boycotting the Oscars

I am going to boycott the Oscars this year....not worth watching. As long as I hear that Kate wins for one thing or another I'll be pleased. I was really disappointed after watching the Globes. I thought Ralph would at least get nominated for something...so for me it's just not worth watching. I'm a real Brangelina ho too, but I won't even watch for them...knowing that Angelina isn't going to win...and Brad probably won't either, though I think he should for all he went through to play Benjamin… Continue

Not Ralph Related- Is anyone else here addicted to the TV show Heroes?

I recently rented this series on recommendation from my friend, and I literally watched like 15 hours of tv in one weekend to see this. I'm hooked! I'm also a Lost fan. I'd be happy to chat on the forum on an off topic thread with anyone who has the same "problem". Haha.

My Favorite Ralph Fiennes On-Screen Moment

Well many who have known me over the years won't be surprised by this one. My favorite onscreen Ralph Fiennes moment is the kiss in Strange Days at the end. All that sexual tension building throughout the movie on Mace's side, and it's like the lightbulb finally goes off for Lenny, and he get's it. Any of us who have had crushes on guy friends that have gone a little farther than friends know this moment...it's a blissful treasure when it works.

LOVE IT!!!

Ralph Fiennes is Getting BUSY in a Threesome

Is this life imitating art? Or the other way around? Ralph will apparently be VERY busy this fall. The papers now have him cast in two more films, The Reader with Nicole Kidman , and as the Duke of Devonshire in the upcoming film, The Duchess. In The Duchess, he'll be caught between two women, who according to history both give birth to his baby. The female roles are cast to Keira Knightley and Hayley Atwell. Looks like our Ralph is taking a serious dive back into Bedforshire...hallelujah...I me… Continue

Love Song for a Vampire

Come into these arms again
and lay your body down
The rhythm of this trembling heart
is beating like a drum
It beats for you it bleeds for you
it knows not how it sounds
For it is the drum of drums
it is the song of songs

Once I had the rarest rose
that ever deemed to bloom
Cruel winter chilled the bud
and stole my flower too soon
Oh loneliness Oh hopelessness
to search the ends of time
For there is in all the world
no greater love than mine.

Love o love o .... still falls the rain
Love o love o .... still falls the night
Love o love o .... damned forever

Let me be the only one
to keep you from the cold
Now the floor of heaven is laid
the stars are bright as gold
They shine for you they shine for you
they burn for all to see
Come into these arms again
and set this spirit free

Have you ever met Ralph? If so, when and where, let's here it!
I've met him twice...once on the street after he performed Coriolanus, and another time after Faith Healer at the Stage Door. I have to say he's pretty cool with his fans most of the time if he doesn't have an attitude about something. The first time he was kind of cold, since I bothered him while he was walking to dinner, but I was a desperate fan. Oh well...we live, we learn. The second time was better, and I gave him a little message about how great his fans are!!
About Me:
Love to read, write, watch films, and play with my son. When I'm not trying to squeeze in some writing to my day, I'm researching the latest info about Ralph Fiennes, the Law of Attraction, and other cool spiritual/metaphysical stuff.

Hello fiennesite, How are you? Thank you for posting the poem Longing. It is so beautiful I made a copy of it. Really that's how it feels sometimes, especially in winter. I hope you will go to my new site; work is what keeps me happy these days...
I agree that the original Clash of the Titans was great and it's one of my favorite cult classic movies. I am a little upset they are remaking everything these days. Can't anyone have some original ideas? I guess Ralph would make a good Hades...he...
hey this was a while back
I also agree. This sums up his brilliant performance in one sentence.
THE READER follows a compelling Script "The Reader", Director Stephen Daldry and scriptwriter David Hare's follow-up to "The Hours raises so many interesting questions about guilt and personal responsibility that you can spend hours discussing it...

you were informoig us of a new forum for more discussion.
I think the problem maybe a visual sense of central location...we have these wonderfuyl personal page options but it is not so easy to work centrally to talk...example....at the corner you can work from a list of options on you own page.........things like replies to last topic...then they all come up on the same page...everyone who respsonded to your last brilliant remark.....
the point is it feels more central. I love your feature like the favorite photos of others...but still there needs to be a sense that these things are easier to access...just a thought i have no idea of h ow to do it..........

Dear Mary,
I'm happy to join your web, I read it for a long time . (first impressions : Red Dragon, Brand, then Julius Caesar, Spider - which is on the first place in my opinion) I don't know what is the origine of your view that I don't like 'The White Countess'? I like it very much and Todd Jackson belongs top my fav like Count Almásy, Justin Quayle. The story is beautiful and Shanghai is too: I spent there several days with a conducted tour - there I bought the DVD on a little market. It was good to see again the Bund, the little streets of the French concession looking the film at home. First of all I liked his wonderful acting playing a blind without mask. His movements, his instability the uncertain look and his drama is unforgettable. (He is the greatest up to now - I think so)

yeah i'm heading down south in may sometime for a brerak, so i'll try and fit seing the show in.

yeah, i've heard from manchester autograph collectiors he can be hard, signiture wise. i put it down to Harry Potter as many of the stars do not sign or are very difficult to have their photo taken.

to be honest i hate the Harry Potter series, i'm just a huge Red Dragon fan :-)
