Not Ralph Related- Is anyone else here addicted to the TV show Heroes?

I recently rented this series on recommendation from my friend, and I literally watched like 15 hours of tv in one weekend to see this. I'm hooked! I'm also a Lost fan. I'd be happy to chat on the forum on an off topic thread with anyone who has the same "problem". Haha.

Yeah, I noticed a lot of Star Trak crossover characters too...maybe it's a tribute of sorts. The creators of these shows are usually geeky comic/sci-fi fans...I wouldn't be surprised.

How about that last show! I was really worried about the whole Lost weird plot format then BAM! They give us all the backstory. I hope this means it's going to move well...though I'm upset about the writer's strick and its impact on the show. I think I read somewhere that they only have 4 shows left. Rumor has it with the writer's strike all the shows will be headed for fall finales and huge hiatus:-(

What did you think of the last episode?

Speaking of Spock, hubby told me that the actor who plays Sylar will be playing Spock in the new Star Trek movie. How funny is that!

Jack Coleman played Steven Carrington. Remember him now? He was the gay son of Blake & Alexis.

Peter - hmm...not sure. We're behind in watching the show by one episode. He's a cutie, isn't he? I like his new haircut this season.

The Mexican brother & sister characters don't interest me as much as what's going to happen to Sylar. Didn't that one scene w/him in that building w/the morphing woman remind you of Lost?

The amputation scene w/Claire did gross me out. And her new boyfriend reminded me of Clark Kent/Superman. Plus like no one noticed them flying in the air?! And Claire is suppose to be in hiding!

Once the network realized that they have a runaway hit in their hands, I'm sure the writers are trying to stretch the storylines further and give it some layers that the viewers will discover later.

Hubby noticed a lot of the ex-Star Trek actors on the show besides George Takei (Sulu)...Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) and Dominic Keating (Macolm Reed in ST Enterprise w/Scott Bakula). Let's see who's next - Spock? :-))

Really? He was on Dynasty? I think my favorite character is Niki/Jessica...I like that she's good and bad. I find the new characters the ones from Mexico to be interesting as well. A friend of mine and I were complaining a bit that it seems like this season the writing is going in the direction of Lost with too many plot lines. I think one of the main reasons that the last season was so successful was because we knew the basic premise of what could happen. It was kind of like the Stand in that respect...all the characters seemed to have a destiny. But this season seems so much like Lost, trying to understand the background of the first generation of Heroes, Hiro's story line in the past. It looks like the next episode might be a powerhouse though...bringing the characters back together hopefully.

As far as Lost goes...I bought Lost magazine at Blockbuster because I was jonesing for a Lost fix. Had some good interviews and articles in it and reminded me of plot stuff I'd forgotten from the last few episodes. I think I have the last couple still saved on my DVR, so I'll start watching again in January or so.

I'm glad to go a few episodes on Heroes without seeing Claire mangle herself in some way...that grosses me out too much...between her plot line and Niki's last season it was gory.

I love both shows though, so it will be nice to eventually watch them in tandem.

What do you think is Peter is going to do?

Hey Mary! I love both shows. I can't wait for Lost to come back on TV. They better bring it back soon before people forget that it even existed. ;-)

I discovered Heroes last season about 1/2 way since hubby was recording it on our DVR. I enjoy watching Masi Oka who plays character Hiro. He's the highlight of the show besides Hayden Panettiere (Claire Bennet).

I just realized why I recognized actor Jack Coleman (Claire's dad, Noah). He was on DYNASTY!!
