This news about RF slumming with Francesca

UGHHHH....I really hate it when pathetic men or women for that matter go back to their pathetic previous love because they are A. Familiar, B. Stupid enough to take them back, C. have a house and he doesn't...who knows...

I really do hope these reports are some kind of plant in the press by some desperate PR exec working for the Francesca camp. Or maybe he's just ready to settle down and be a good boy now for his mommy.

The latest news from Francesca Annis, when questioned about her split with RF in 2006. "I don't want to talk about him". When asked whether they got back together, she put up both her hands, palms
facing outward, and said "No, no no. He is probably in Romania somewhere." That is a quote from the article, and of course, we don't know whether to believe it or not. I tend to believe her on this one.
I guess she was devastated, and is still hurting. I know I would be. :-(

Maybe she understands now how Alex felt 13 years ago.

Well said sweetralph, and yes, Alex has faded away in the Press, but I'll bet
part of her is still bruised and will never heal. She knew him when he was so
young and watched him grow, and was with him til he was past 30. I reckon
she knows him better than anybody. I hope she speaks out one day about
how life was, with RF. So, that's 2 women who truly loved him, who have been
emotionally battered by his leaving of them. What is he looking for? Is it the
life on stage/screen which jumbles his personna. His real personna is a mystery
to me, and I've been watching him for a few years now. I don't think he is really
happy; maybe that's why he works so hard. Are you in England sweetralph, or another country? I am in Australia.

I think its hard to ever truly know what happens in the lives of two people, the intimacies between them, what truly happened. We can guess at it forever and never get it right. I'd certainly never trust anything the press writes. They'll take even the most basic truths and sensationalize them to sell their rags or raise the ratings. Its the same with trying to understand why one person can find lifelong love and commitment and happily abide in it forever, while another cannot seem to make that connection. That answer seems as complexed as each individual human being. All one ever truly knows about another is what each person chooses to reveal. I respect individuals who keep their private lives as such. There are parts of a heart and soul that should not be laid out for public display or scrutiny.

Although Alex has moved on with her life (she married again and has a daughter) I also think the deep insult she experienced back then is still somehow inside her. It would indeed be interesting to know how her life with Ralph was. But I somehow doubt she will ever talk about that.

Really, now? I can sort of understand the feelings of outrage about the Alex situation, but I don't for Annis. It seems like people don't realize that Ralph wasn't the first and only man that she stepped out on her previous partner, the father of her children, with. She's had multiple affairs with her handsome male co-stars before Ralph came into the picture. So, it's not a little bit disingenuous to pretend she's this innocent, delicate flower who only committed one wrong because Ralph the selfish, abusive swine wheedled her into it.
